I wouldn't recommend this place if you would like to feel safe in your mobile home.
Not one person here has said anything to my about my dog since I arrived. This young blonde man needs some training.
Park host very nice and friendly. Range always tells you when the gate is closing at 10pm. Park very clean. We only reserved 3 sites; all 12 kids were happy including the adults! Mahalo!
Great place to be in the summer you can put your floating device in the water and float down the river to Carver Park!
My first thought is 'Wow! A hello would have been nice. Also how did you receive several complaints within 2 minutes of "quiet time" when he only started barking because you wandered up in the darkness?"
We stayed at Barton park for 2 nights. Tonight being the second of those 2. At 10:02 pm my dog started barking. He was tied up with only enough length to stay within our campsite. I got out of my camper to see what he was barking at and a strange young man (26 tops) was standing behind my camper. I walked up to see what he was doing and he says to me "Control your dog!" I said "He is on his leash." He then replies "Well quiet time is 10 o'clock and we have received several complaints." My only reply was "Seriously?" Then he sarcastically answered "Yeah, seriously!" I grabbed my dog and put him in the camper.
Why hasn't Google implemented a zero or negative star rating?! This would be one of those places. By and far the younger summer staff they've hired are very friendly and respectful. The seniors that they have as live in tenants to monitor the campgrounds are NAZIS! We're scheduled to be here for a week in the east RV campground but after the lady in the golf cart has made her 3rd pass of the day. Her comments aren't exactly rude but they're definitely strongly undertoned and unappreciated. Parking a friend's car in the spot next to us who lives in the area and dropped by to visit for the day is not a crime. There are 50 RV spots and 5 or 6 have trailers in them but "at any moment someone could come to the park and rent that spot" so we had to move the car now! Amazingly it's the second day being here and nobody else has come in. Ironically 2 RVs have left. I'd hope because their vacation are over and not because of unfriendly run ins with the senior live ins. Hiring grumpy elderly to monitor your park is not a good policy even if you can't find a nursing home that will house them. I didn't come here on vacation to be harassed so a week has been cut short to one night and we're headed to the coast to find a friendlier camp sight. Good riddance and good bye!
My dog is a service animal and he did exactly what he is supposed to do. Besides providing a specific medical function that I would rather not share he had been fully trained to alert me when we are not safe. A strange man entering our campground in the dark without announcing himself would meet that specific criteria.
Excellent place for camping. Cool river. Really nice camp attendants. Very busy on the weekends. So nice and quite during the week. I was there for two weeks camping ⛺️
